Transaction Management Associate
Location: Pune, India
Who You’ll Work WithThis position reports to the Director of Transaction Management and requires building close working relationships across the firm’s global investment and operations teams.
What You’ll DoTransaction Management (90%)
Deal Operations: Provide day-to-day operational input on CNO and bulk loan transactions.
Settlement Support: Assist with loan re-underwriting, analysis, and the submission process for trade settlement.
Stakeholder Coordination: Collaborate with external diligence partners, custodians, and sellers to manage the timely delivery of third-party reports and legal documents.
Monitoring & Reconciliations: Perform monthly MERS and custodial monitoring, handle trailing document reviews, allocate vendor invoices, and prepare summary reporting.
Pre-Closing & Closing: Facilitate KYC/AML approvals, trading system setups, and wire confirmations. Manage high-volume closing activities, including checklists, trade bookings, and investor data ingestion.
Post-Closing & Reporting: Manage monthly communications with trustees and loan servicers. Prepare bank reconciliations for separately managed accounts (SMAs) twice per month.
Business Partnering (10%)
Operational Judgment: Make informed decisions related to the operations function and assume responsibility for business impact.
Problem Solving: Proactively identify potential issues in residential loan investment transactions and communicate solutions to management.
Required Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or a related field.
Technical Skills: Advanced Excel skills and strong overall computer literacy.
Soft Skills: Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
Aptitude: High level of initiative, detail-oriented, and the ability to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines.
Flexibility: Ability to periodically work non-traditional hours to align with global market requirements and trade closings.
Preferred Qualifications:
Industry Experience: Direct experience with residential loan acquisition, diligence review, or transaction management.
Background: Experience within an alternative investment fund manager or a high-volume loan production office.
Technical Analytics: Experience with SQL, Snowflake, Looker, Sigma, or similar programming/reporting logic.
Negotiation: Strong conflict management and negotiation skills.
