Process lead Finance & Accounting
Location: Pune, India Experience: 3–5 Years
The OpportunityWe are seeking a detail-oriented Finance professional to join our global finance department. This role offers a comprehensive mix of General Ledger (GL) accounting, Accounts Payable (AP), and Indian Statutory Compliance. You will be a key contributor to the month-end closing process and act as a vital link between internal stakeholders and our global finance teams.
Core Responsibilities1. Month-End Closing & Financial Control
General Ledger: Prepare and record daily and monthly accounting journals with high accuracy.
Accruals & Provisions: Manage monthly provisions and accruals to ensure the completeness of financial results.
Sub-ledger Management: Perform Balance Sheet account reconciliations and secure necessary sign-offs.
Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to month-end timelines and internal control frameworks.
2. Statutory Reporting & Tax Reconciliation
Direct Tax: Prepare quarterly TDS returns and maintain supporting documentation for withholding tax compliance.
Indirect Tax: Perform monthly GST reconciliations and verify returns in accordance with statutory requirements.
Audit Support: Facilitate internal and statutory audits by providing necessary reconciliations, workings, and documentation.
Reporting: Assist in the preparation of financial statements, MIS, and management reports for senior leadership.
3. Accounts Payable (AP) & Vendor Management
End-to-End AP: Manage the supplier lifecycle, including vendor setup, invoice processing, and T&E (Travel & Expense) for India and APAC regions.
Banking: Oversee payment setups and perform vendor and bank account reconciliations.
Process Excellence: Maintain and update procedure guides and lead control testing to minimize escalations and ensure data integrity.
Domain Expertise: Strong knowledge of Indian taxonomy (GST, TDS), Accounts Payable workflows, and Month-End closing cycles.
Communication: Ability to communicate complex financial data clearly and concisely across different levels and global functions.
Analytical Thinking: Strong logical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying process issues.
Organization: Proven ability to multi-task, prioritize high-volume workloads, and meet rigid statutory deadlines.
Education: CA-Inter, MBA (Finance), M.Com, or B.Com.
Experience: 3–5 years of hands-on experience in Finance, Accounting, and Reporting processes.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office and experience with accounting/T&E software (experience with Workday is highly preferred).
