Job details:

You will work as a Procurement junior Application Engineer within our Technology Center – MGCC in Bangalore. The engineer possesses basic knowledge and skills with experience in procurement applications such as Ariba, Concur and Vendor Invoice Management. You will also work on various backend systems, specifically SAP S/4 Hana and ECC 6.0. 

This role sits at the intersection of project management and functional SAP knowledge, supporting project managers and functional leads in keeping implementations, upgrades, and enhancement projects on track.

In this job, you will:

  • Should have deep knowledge of Procurement processes. 

  • Understand the overall solution architecture with SAP ECC, SAP S/4 HANA, Oracle and other legacy applications.

  • Collaborate with SAP Ariba AMS/Shared Services/support teams to resolve procurement application related issues with service requests. 

  • Demonstrate a clear understanding of the overall project execution steps as a part of Agile project methodology.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Procurement MM, Finance/FI-CO etc.) on end-to-end process alignment

  • Contribute to end-user training materials and provide first-level user support 

  • Stay current on SAP best practices, releases, and procurement industry trends

  • Collaborate with multiple project stakeholders to complete the procurement application activities.  

  • Support project planning activities: timelines, work breakdown structures, resource plans, and RAID (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies) logs for SAP procurement initiatives 

  • Coordinate and schedule workshops, requirements sessions, design reviews, and status meetings across procurement, finance, and IT stakeholders 

  • Track project deliverables, milestones, and action items; follow up with workstream owners to ensure on-time completion 

  • Prepare and maintain project status reports, dashboards, and steering committee presentations

Who You Are:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field or Masters in operations & supply chain. 

  • 0–2 years of experience with SAP (internship, academic projects, or entry-level role); exposure to procurement application like Ariba, Concur, VIM is a strong plus

  • Familiarity with SAP navigation, transaction codes, and basic configuration concepts

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Good communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities

  • Understands very well how to read through Ariba master data error log files to identify root-cause of data load issues

  • Ability to work with technical and business-oriented teams, to work collaboratively with employees within department and across functions
