OS Engineering & Image Building
Custom OS Construction: Design and build optimized, scalable, and secure OS images (Windows Server, RHEL, or Ubuntu) for both bare-metal and virtualized environments.
Kernel & Patch Management: Perform kernel tuning, library optimization, and manage complex patch deployment cycles to ensure zero-day vulnerability protection.
Automation: Use scripting (Bash, PowerShell, or Python) and configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, or Chef) to automate the "Build-and-Deploy" process.
Hardening: Implement CIS benchmarks and security hardening policies at the OS level to meet compliance standards.
2. System Administration & Infrastructure
Performance Tuning: Monitor system health and optimize CPU, Memory, and I/O performance across distributed environments.
Storage & Networking: Manage volume groups (LVM), file systems (NFS, SMB), and basic network configuration (DNS, DHCP, VLANs).
Virtualization/Cloud: Administer VMware, Hyper-V, or Cloud-based instances (AWS EC2/Azure VM), ensuring high availability and disaster recovery readiness.
3. ITIL Process Management
Incident & Problem Management: Act as an escalation point for complex system outages, performing deep-dive Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
Change Management: Lead the technical review for system changes, ensuring minimal impact on production services through rigorous testing and documentation.
Service Improvement: Utilize the ITIL framework to continuously improve service delivery, managing the Service Catalog and Configuration Management Database (CMDB).
