Securities Operations Specialist-Account Opening & Maintenance
In this role, you will:
Perform and support moderately complex Account Opening & Maintenance, Cash Operations, Cash Management, and Securities Operations activities while meeting quality, accuracy, compliance, and service expectations.
Serve as a point of contact for assigned operational activities, research operational issues, and coordinate the resolution of exceptions and escalations with appropriate partners.
Monitor work against service-level agreements, regulatory requirements, operational procedures, and internal quality standards.
Apply established operational controls and risk-management practices to identify, assess, and mitigate transaction-level risks.
Conduct risk and process reviews within an assigned area and recommend opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy, productivity, and the control environment.
Support the onboarding and transition of new operational activities, including process documentation, knowledge transfer, readiness activities, and role migrations.
Collaborate with clients, counterparties, audit teams, and internal partners to research and address operational inquiries, documentation requests, and escalations.
Support the administration of alternative investments, including third-party distribution activities and operational due diligence involving external investment managers.
Coordinate and participate in system and product testing, including user acceptance testing, validation, and parallel testing during system enhancements or process migrations.
Analyze and report operational performance metrics, including transaction volumes, turnaround times, service levels, quality, and accuracy.
Develop and maintain accurate operational procedures and supporting documentation in accordance with quality, compliance, and information-security standards.
Collaborate and consult with cross-functional stakeholders to communicate operational requirements, resolve moderately complex issues, and support informed decision-making.
Provide guidance and share operational knowledge with less-experienced team members, without formal people-management responsibility.
Required Qualifications:
5+ years of Securities Operations experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
6+ months of experience in Account Opening and Account Maintenance.
6+ months of experience in Client Onboarding, KYC, or Due Diligence activities.
6+ months of experience in Cash Operations, Cash Management, or Payment Processing.
Desired Qualifications:
Knowledge of Wealth Management, Advisory Services, and Securities Operations
Understanding of investment products, account servicing, and client onboarding processes
Knowledge of operational risk management and control practices
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
Process improvement and operational excellence mindset
Experience with system testing, UAT, and change implementation activities
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Experience coaching or mentoring team members
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Experience using data analytics and reporting tools such as Power BI or Tableau
Exposure to automation and digital transformation initiatives, including Cloud technologies, Robotics (RPA), Machine Learning, or Artificial Intelligence (AI)
Ability to leverage technology and data insights to improve operational efficiency and service delivery
Job Expectations:
Ability to work a shift schedule of 6:30 PM to 3:30 AM IST.
This position is based in Hyderabad, Telangana, and candidates must be willing to work from the Hyderabad location
