Job Title: Vice President – Enterprise System Management & Security Platform Engineering

Location: Pune, India

Employment Type: Full-Time

Department: Global Technology Infrastructure & Enterprise Security

About the Organization

We are a premier global investment management firm delivering high-conviction research, diversified investment strategies, and innovative technology solutions to institutional, retail, and private wealth clients across major international financial markets. Our engineering teams design, operate, and secure critical enterprise infrastructure that drives global capital allocation, risk management, and operational resilience.

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced technology leader and hands-on systems architect to join as Vice President – Enterprise System Management (ESM) & Security Platform Engineering.

This is a platform-building leadership role responsible for architecting, scaling, and operationalizing the firm’s enterprise monitoring, observability, and cyber threat detection platforms. You will lead the engineering strategy for telemetry, log aggregation pipelines, alerting frameworks, and detection engineering across our hybrid-cloud and global enterprise estate.

If you have a strong background in SIEM engineering, observability platforms, and telemetry infrastructure—and are passionate about building scalable, high-performance monitoring systems that empower proactive defense and operational resilience—this role offers significant scope and impact.

Key Responsibilities
  • Platform Architecture & Engineering: Architect, deploy, scale, and maintain global enterprise monitoring and security detection platforms (e.g., Splunk Enterprise/Cloud, Microsoft Sentinel, ELK, Dynatrace, Grafana, OpenTelemetry).

  • Telemetry & Ingestion Pipelines: Own end-to-end data onboarding, event filtering, parsing, data normalization, and indexing across servers, cloud workloads (AWS, Azure), network infrastructure, Active Directory/Entra ID, and endpoints.

  • Detection Engineering: Design, build, and optimize high-fidelity threat detection content, correlation rules, and alerting mechanisms to support the Global Security Operations Center (SOC) while driving down false positives.

  • Observability & Dashboards: Develop executive-level and operational dashboards, performance metrics, and reporting mechanisms to ensure deep visibility into system health, capacity, compliance, and cyber posture.

  • Tooling Strategy & Governance: Formulate platform maturity roadmaps, data lifecycle and retention standards, capacity planning, and resilience architectures across all monitoring and observability investments.

  • Engineering Leadership: Direct, mentor, and expand a high-performing engineering organization, cultivating a culture of technical rigor, automation, and cross-functional collaboration.

Candidate Qualifications

Required Experience

  • Professional Experience: 12+ years of progressive experience in infrastructure engineering, observability, security platform engineering, or SIEM/detection engineering within large-scale enterprise environments.

  • Team Leadership: Proven track record of managing and mentoring engineering teams, managing stakeholder relationships, and driving complex cross-functional technology initiatives.

  • Platform Build & Architecture: Demonstrated experience building and operating enterprise-scale monitoring or SIEM platforms (Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel, Elastic/ELK, or modern observability tooling).

  • Engineering Over Operations: Strong hands-on background in platform engineering—including log onboarding, data pipeline health, index design, and correlation rule tuning—rather than passive queue/incident operations.

  • Infrastructure Breadth: Deep technical understanding across hybrid enterprise infrastructure, including Linux/Windows servers, public cloud environments (AWS, Azure), container platforms, networking protocols, and identity systems.

  • Automation & Scripting: Proficiency in automation and scripting using Python, Shell/Bash, or PowerShell, alongside familiarity with CI/CD and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) principles.

Preferred Experience

  • Prior engineering leadership experience within banking, capital markets, or regulated global financial institutions.

  • Experience implementing Detection-as-Code frameworks, MITRE ATT&CK alignment, and security compliance standards.

  • Industry certifications such as Splunk Certified Architect, AWS/Azure Solutions Architect, or equivalent security platform credentials.

What We Offer
  • Strategic ownership of enterprise-wide platforms supporting critical global financial systems.

  • An intellectually stimulating, collaborative engineering environment focused on technical innovation.

  • Highly competitive executive compensation, comprehensive corporate benefits, and flexible work arrangements.
