Senior Legal Counsel
The scope of the legal services to be provided is as follows:
Support to the APAC Deliver and Logistics Procurement teams, on sourcing and
contracting activities, including the development, risk assessment and execution of
sourcing strategies and contracting related to Deliver, specially warehousing, 3PL/4PL,
transportation, customs brokerage and transportation services.
Lead complex supplier negotiations by partnering with the Deliver and Logistics
Procurement teams and providing legal counsel to support high value
transactions.
Legal representative in the Regional APAC Deliver Innovative Medicine
Leadership Team and in the Regional APAC Deliver MedTech Leadership Team.
Support to the APAC Indirect Procurement team, on sourcing and contracting activities,
including the development, risk assessment and execution of sourcing strategies and
contracting.
Lead complex supplier negotiations and provide legal counsel for high-value
transactions across various procurement categories.
Advise Procurement teams, including the Global Services Source to Contract
organization (“S2C”) in APAC on strategic legal and contractual matters, helping to
develop, assess, and execute sourcing strategies for products, services, and solutions.
Ensure contracts meet business requirements and risks are managed.
Work with the Global Simplification and Innovation in Contracting (GSINC) Office to
improve contracting processes and templates, deliver training, harmonize documents,
build playbooks, and support process improvements for greater efficiency and quality.
Provide and coordinate legal support independently, contribute to cross-functional
teams, and collaborate with colleagues on key contracting matters.
Qualifications:
Law degree (LLB or equivalent), with current certification or license to practice law.
A minimum of 10-15 years’ relevant experience with a Tier1/Tier2 law firm and/or
inhouse experience at a multinational organization is required.
Proven track record drafting and negotiating complex, highvalue supplier agreements,
including crossborder/APAC contracts.
Strong Procurement experience across multiple categories (services, logistics, IT,
manufacturing, indirect spend, third-party vendors), dealing with high value agreements,
is a core requirement for this role.
Strong drafting and redlining skills; comfortable with complex commercial terms (liability
caps, service levels, IP, data protection, indemnities).
Excellent teamwork, relationship management, communication, negotiation, and
organizational skills.
Language skills: excellent English (both written and spoken), including for legal drafting.
Sense of urgency and proven ability to prioritize to meet business demands and
timelines.
The contractor must be located in Mumbai, India, and be available to attend meetings
scheduled in APAC time zones.
