Senior Infrastructure Engineer-Win OS
We are seeking a highly skilled Infrastructure Engineer with deep expertise in Core Windows Administration and Azure Cloud environments. This role focuses on the evolution of "Infrastructure as Code" (IaC), moving away from manual configurations toward fully automated, programmable infrastructure.
The ideal candidate is a Windows power user who has transitioned into a Cloud Automation specialist, capable of leveraging Terraform, Ansible, and RackN to deploy and manage enterprise-scale systems.
### Key ResponsibilitiesWindows Core Engineering: Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Core Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, DNS, GPO, and high-availability clustering.
Cloud Infrastructure: Design, deploy, and manage scalable infrastructure on Microsoft Azure, ensuring tight integration between on-premises and cloud resources.
Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Drive the transition to automated provisioning by developing and maintaining Terraform scripts for cloud and virtualized environments.
OS Deployment Automation: Lead the automation of Operating System deployments and bare-metal provisioning using RackN.
Test Automation & Configuration: Utilize Ansible to build robust test automation frameworks and configuration management playbooks to ensure environment consistency.
Infrastructure Security: Implement security best practices within the Microsoft ecosystem, ensuring all automated deployments meet enterprise compliance standards.
Mandatory Expertise:
Core Windows: Extensive experience with Windows Server (2016/2019/2022) and the broader Microsoft ecosystem.
Azure Cloud: Proven experience with Azure Resource Manager (ARM), Azure DevOps, and networking/security within the cloud.
Automation & Provisioning:
Terraform: Mastery in writing, testing, and maintaining providers and modules.
RackN: Hands-on experience with RackN for automated OS deployment and lifecycle management.
Ansible: Proficiency in developing playbooks specifically for Infrastructure Test Automation and configuration.
IaC Principles: Deep understanding of version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing of infrastructure.
Preferred / Optional:
Containerization: Familiarity with OpenShift or Kubernetes is a significant plus.
Scripting: Strong proficiency in PowerShell for Windows-specific automation.
Experience: 6+ years in Systems Engineering with a heavy focus on Microsoft technologies and at least 3 years in a Cloud/DevOps-centric role.
Problem Solving: Ability to troubleshoot complex integration issues between bare-metal provisioning tools (RackN) and cloud-layer automation.
Certifications: Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect or HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate is highly desirable.
