Senior Commercial Loan Closing Representative
This role focuses on executing complex legal loan documentation, managing high-risk compliance evaluations, and guiding team members through intricate closing procedures. Serving as a subject matter authority within a premier global financial services institution, this position bridges credit, sales, and legal departments to ensure seamless transactional alignment and risk mitigation.
Core Responsibilities
Transactional & Legal Documentation: Review, prepare, and negotiate complex legal loan structures, evaluating risks and devising mitigation strategies. Evaluate and upload critical data into systems of record to ensure full compliance with organizational standards and regulatory frameworks.
Specialized Compliance & Flood Operations: Perform Flood Disaster Protection Act (FDPA) compliance reviews for high- and low-risk transactions. Validate flood determinations via third-party vendors, evaluate flood insurance policy coverages against National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) and FEMA guidelines, and maintain audit-ready documentation trails.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner directly with Deal Teams, Middle Office Operations, Sales, and Corporate Legal groups to resolve documentation gaps and meet strict closing timelines.
Mentorship & Process Improvement: Provide day-to-day work leadership, offer procedural interpretation to less experienced staff, and implement optimized closing tools and workflows.
Qualifications & Requirements
Experience: 3+ years in commercial loan closing support, collateral management, flood operations, or insurance operations.
Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of FEMA flood zones, FDPA regulations, credit agreement reviews, and flood determination systems.
Key Skills: Advanced legal documentation analysis, risk mitigation, stakeholder management, analytical critical thinking, and the ability to mentor junior peers in a fast-paced environment.
