The Opportunity

We are looking for an SAP Team Manager to join the EY GDS Team. As part of our EY GDS – TechOps team, you will be responsible for providing functional support for SAP across various regions for our global clients. You will collaborate closely with cross functional teams to address issues, implement enhancements, and optimize design to meet business requirements.

To qualify for the role, you must have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related technology field (Computer, Engineering, Science, etc.) or comparable job experiences.

  • 8-10 Years of experience required in one or more areas within SAP functional areas preferably with Global client

  • Deep understanding of ITIL and ITSM processes and methodology and how it interacts with the application lifecycle management principles

  • Ability to manage cross functional and technical team, give them directions and drive functional and technical discussions with various stake holders  

  • Proven track record of successfully driving solutions in a complex, multi-platform environment

  • Extensive in client management working with various regions in a global setting

  • Depth of experience in setting up, growing, transforming, and delivering application management teams

  • Strong leadership and team building skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve excellence

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels in the organization

  • Strong client management, analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to think strategically and make data driven decisions

  • Responsible for providing support within the SAP domain expert module for incidents, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.

  • Support incident solving by analyzing incidents raised by users and provides solutions.

  • Working closely with customers and teams to ensure issues and requests are followed-up and addressed timely.

  • Handle change requests with a clear understanding of new business requirements.

  • Understand business needs and deliver solutions to make processes more efficient and simpler whenever possible.

  • Cross-functional communication skills; experience in offshore/onshore model.

  • Ability to work with minimal guidance or supervision in a time critical environment.

  • Strong communication, collaboration, and leadership skills with the ability to work effectively in a global, cross functional team environment.

  • Flexibility in managing work hours due to the volatile nature of Application Management work including ability to do shifts and being on call for critical business requirements

Ideally, you’ll also have:

  • Experience with both S/4HANA and ECC

  • Strong knowledge of SAP integration points with other SAP cross modules like FICO, MM, SD, HR, PP and PM.

  • SAP Certification in any functional domain

  • Experience in good Team management skills, People skills, communication, soft skills etc

  • Expertise in working with Onshore teams with good co-ordination and collaboration
