About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced Senior Billing Architect/DevOps Engineer (m/w/d) to join our Fulfillment Billing team. In this role, you will work in an international, agile environment and take responsibility for designing, developing, and ensuring the operational excellence of our high-volume billing applications.

Your Responsibilities

Work within an international Scrum team in a scaled agile (SAFe) environment

Design and develop solutions for our B2C Billing application, with a focus on Oracle BRM or any Billing system in our responsibility

Handle billing-related operational incidents, including monitoring and resolution

Drive feature analysis, technical design, and collaborate with architects across domains (Billing, Microservices, Salesforce)

Contribute actively to the Architects Community of Practice

Ensure all solutions meet security and data privacy requirements

Mentor and support junior developers, ensuring efficient use of their potential

Take ownership of daily operations and actively manage responsibilities

Contribute to DevOps practices by working with the CI/CD team to maintain application stability

Lead and ensure compliance with development, testing, and documentation standards

Your Profile

Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience

At least 7 years in a senior or team lead role in software development or billing environments

Strong specialization in high-volume billing applications; Oracle BRM experience is highly desirable

Proven ability to optimize deployments, reduce downtime, and improve billing infrastructure efficiency

Solid DevOps experience in high-volume environments

Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)

Experience with Perl, shell scripting, Google Cloud Platform, CI/CD pipelines, and Kafka is a strong plus

Strong programming knowledge (C, C++, Java)

Expertise with Oracle DBMS and PL/SQL

Hands-on experience with system integration (SOA, Webservices, RESTful APIs, SOAP)

Strong understanding of DevOps culture and distributed systems

Agile mindset with the ability to adapt quickly to shifting priorities

Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to work across business, development, and operations teams
