About Equity Derivative Desk
Barclays is a dedicated global structured solutions provider. The Equity Derivative team works with a range of clients
and is a recognised global leader in constructing structured solutions for both sides of the balance sheet
Overall purpose of role
To provide an exceptional level of support to the Equity Derivative EMEA & APAC Sales team
Key Accountabilities
Support Sales, Structuring and Middle Office teams with Structured Product (OTC and Notes) lifecycle
events
Work on break remediation on coupon/expiry calculations.
Execute Onboarding Client Requirements:
o Product set up & Trading account for already on boarded entities and to chase through the
different milestones.
o Raise the refresh request when there is a scheduled Refresh & Upload the forms and to
chase through the different milestones.
Facilitate an efficient process for the Onboarding of new clients.
Assist Corporate Actions cross a wide range of product types within the Derivatives space
Ensure Primary trade set-ups for NIX, sales credit bookings and pay-away process.
Amend Term sheets for taps, insertion of strikes, ISIN codes
Obtain signatures for trade issuance documentation and liaising with legal
Work with CVG to confirm accuracy of client’s daily valuation statements
Assist desk with timely MI, required to respond client / regulatory queries / requests
Help operations / onshore teams with settlement issues and ensure accurate / timely settlement of trades.
Ensure trades are unsuspended and dealable by making amendments to client dealing entities where
required, resolving any issues with online dealing, facilitate trade confirmations when requested
Respond to client requests e.g. audit, redemption queries, fixing event queries, requests for deltas, Greeks
Work with sales and business management to manage fee payments and invoice payments
Set up clients for dealing, pricing, BARX, COMET, BBG (BXIS), research when required
Notify sales of upcoming maturities, work on production of maturity reports when required, liaise with
appropriate areas to ensure maturity process is smooth
Build out the Future State - Engage with re-workings of outdated/inefficient processes and challenge existing
procedures.
Query Management - Address and respond to, in a timely manner, issues stemming from internal sales
teams, internal infrastructure teams, as well as external APAC and EMEA clients.

Essential Skills:
The role is ideally suited towards someone who is familiar with:
o Basic Derivatives product knowledge, including Structured Notes
o Experience and understanding of trade lifecycle
The candidate must be:

Good sense of timeliness and can work under pressure to meet a deadline.
An organized individual with good time management, prioritising tasks and able to meet deadlines.
Able to coordinate with various teams to action items
Detailed and meticulous - high level of accuracy with low tolerance for error

stakeholders globally.

Preferred candidate:
1-2 years’ experience in supporting Sales/ Front Office
Strong understanding of derivatives & OTC products
A good understanding of SQL, VBA & excel functionalities
Good at Analytics, Problem Solving and statistics
Proactive and believes in collaborative team work
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Management disciplines
