Where you will be responsible for - (Key responsibilities)

  • Purpose of the role is to act as a bridge between Credit team and other departments and clients, providing in-depth knowledge and support for Bank credit products.

  • Provision of SME expertise on specific products and services to customers and colleagues, including features, functionalities, benefits, limitations, risks and compliance

  • Understanding of market trends, new features, regulatory requirements and potential risks, and analysis of data obtained from sales figures and, customer feedback, to support the product development process, and communicate key findings to relevant stakeholders to improve product offerings.

  • Response to customer inquiries and obtain a detailed understanding of complex personal / corporate financial circumstances in order to provide options for suitable product solutions. Support with resolution of issues, and provision of guidance on product usage.

  • Participation in training sessions and workshops to share product knowledge and expertise with colleagues and other stakeholders.

  • To advise and influence decision making, contribute to policy development and take responsibility for operational effectiveness. Collaborate closely with other functions/ business divisions.

  • Consult on complex issues; providing advice to People Leaders to support the resolution of escalated issues.

  • Identify ways to mitigate risk and developing new policies/procedures in support of the control and governance agenda.

  • Take ownership for managing risk and strengthening controls in relation to the work done.

  • Perform work that is closely related to that of other areas, which requires understanding of how areas coordinate and contribute to the achievement of the objectives of the organisation sub-function.

  • Collaborate with other areas of work, for business aligned support areas to keep up to speed with business activity and the business strategy.

  • Engage in complex analysis of data from multiple sources of information, internal and external sources such as procedures and practises (in other areas, teams, companies, etc).to solve problems creatively and effectively.

  • Communicate complex information. 'Complex' information could include sensitive information or information that is difficult to communicate because of its content or its audience.

  • Influence or convince stakeholders to achieve outcomes.

Basic/ Essential Qualifications:

  • Graduate degree in finance / business

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in credit structuring team at Bank / financial institution

  • Track record of evaluating client requirements, aligning with regulations and internal policies, end to end proposal development and working with Risk team for sanction and Ops teams for monitoring

  • Strong exposure to RBI regulations for Bank in general, and Credit in particular

  • Strong process orientation – demonstrable track record working in a large institution with robust governance and compliance frameworks

 

Desirable skillsets/ good to have:

Track record of taking ownership of end-to-end credit solution structuring and delivery
