Manager, People Operations
Location: Pune, India
As Manager, People Operations, you will lead a high-performing team responsible for delivering timely, accurate, and compliant support across core People processes and employee inquiries. In this role, you will play a central part in scaling and modernizing global HR service delivery—assessing ongoing workflows, driving operational consistency, and translating broader People team priorities into seamless day-to-day execution.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on HR Operations leader who has grown within a centralized shared services or global capability center (GCC) environment, bringing deep subject-matter expertise across specialized HR domains. You will oversee daily operations, elevate service standards, foster team capabilities, and lead through process transitions, organizational growth, and continuous improvement initiatives.
What You'll Do
Team Leadership & Development: Lead, mentor, and upskill an operational team supporting specialized HR administration and end-to-end employee lifecycle services across the U.S., EMEA, and expanding global regions.
Domain Oversight: Provide hands-on operational direction across benefits administration, global mobility and immigration, time off and leave management, and vendor administration, ensuring smooth delivery across all touchpoints.
Service Model Evolution: Partner with global leadership to shape and implement future-state service delivery—defining centralized scope, mapping workflows, establishing clear ownership matrices, and enforcing strict service standards.
Operational Excellence & Workload Management: Manage day-to-day operations, including intake prioritization, ticket/case distribution, capacity management, and business continuity across an evolving scope of work.
Performance & Quality Monitoring: Track operational KPIs, SLAs, and service quality metrics; analyze operational trends and bottlenecks to implement corrective measures and mitigate compliance risk.
Complex Escalation Handling: Act as the primary escalation point for sensitive, high-touch, or complex employee scenarios, exercising discretion to resolve matters independently or escalate policy/legal risks appropriately.
Compliance, Governance & Audit: Enforce rigorous standard operating procedures (SOPs), data integrity, internal controls, and audit readiness across regional regulatory frameworks.
Process Documentation: Oversee the creation and upkeep of comprehensive process maps and SOPs, particularly during migration waves and regional service expansions.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with People Business Partners, Global Payroll, Benefits COE, Legal, and Compliance teams to resolve handoff frictions and streamline cross-functional workflows.
Data-Driven Continuous Improvement: Leverage operational data and ticket analytics to identify recurring root causes, optimize team capacity, eliminate manual waste, and drive automation initiatives.
What We're Looking For
Experience: 12+ years of progressive HR Operations / Shared Services / Employee Services experience in a global, fast-paced corporate or financial services environment, with a track record of executing complex employee lifecycle processes.
Domain Specialization: Proven hands-on expertise in at least two of the following domains within the U.S. and/or EMEA:

Global Mobility & Corporate Immigration
Time Off & Leave of Absence (LOA) Administration
HR Vendor Management & Governance
People Leadership: Proven track record of managing, coaching, and scaling teams in a high-volume, high-touch shared services environment.

Stakeholder Management: Exceptional communication skills with the credibility to influence senior international stakeholders and manage complex cross-regional relationships.
Operational Judgment: High discretion, analytical rigor, and sound judgment when managing confidential employee relations escalations or risk-sensitive operational decisions.
HR Technology: Hands-on experience with modern HRIS, ticketing, and case management tools; advanced familiarity with Workday is strongly preferred.
Global Mindset: Demonstrated success operating within a matrixed, U.S.-headquartered multinational firm, balancing local market nuances with global enterprise consistency.
