Automation Engineer 3

Required Skills & Experience

• Automation & Infrastructure

• Strong automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) expertise (e.g., Puppet, Terraform, Ansible, Python, Helm, added advantage PowerShell,).

• Solid experience with virtualization platforms such as VMware vSphere, KVM, or OpenStack.

• Experience with CI/CD and Git-based workflows (branching strategies, code reviews, release and versioning practices).

• Experience with secrets management and secure access control using HashiCorp Vault.

• Strong Linux and Windows fundamentals along with sound infrastructure networking knowledge.

• Experience operating production infrastructure environments, including incident response and root cause analysis.

Kubernetes Expertise

• Strong hands-on experience operating Rancher-managed Kubernetes clusters in on-premises environments.

• Deep understanding of Kubernetes architecture and core components.

• Experience with Kubernetes networking (CNI, Ingress, Load Balancers, DNS, and foundational Service Mesh concepts).

• Experience with storage integrations (CSI, Persistent Volumes, NFS, SAN, enterprise storage platforms).

• Proven experience in cluster lifecycle management (installation, upgrades, scaling, backup and restore).

• Experience supporting production-grade Day-2 operations.
