Job OverviewSeeking a detail-oriented Data Scientist / Quantitative Researcher to conduct asset allocation research, build interactive data dashboards, maintain database infrastructure, and apply statistical modeling and machine learning to complex quantitative investment strategies.
Key ResponsibilitiesResearch & Portfolio Strategy: Conduct asset allocation and manager evaluation research. Perform bespoke portfolio analysis and construct custom portfolios for internal and external global stakeholders.
Data Engineering & Infrastructure: Collate, clean, and analyze complex datasets using SQL and Python. Design databases, integrate multi-source data, and set up infrastructure for ongoing maintenance.
Visualization & Reporting: Build interactive data visualization dashboards using Python Dash. Clean and manipulate data to produce automated reporting pipelines.
Quantitative & ML Modeling: Utilize statistical modeling and machine learning techniques to address quantitative problems and deliver high-impact research applied to fundamental strategies.
AI Tool Integration: Actively leverage modern AI tools to streamline data handling, research, and modeling workflows.
Must-Haves
Database Design: 2+ years of experience with RDBMS database design, preferably on MS SQL Server.
Python Development: 2+ years of hands-on Python experience with advanced proficiency in key libraries, specifically pandas, numpy, and statsmodels.
Data Manipulation: Proven capacity to work with, clean, and process large quantities of complex data.
Accuracy: Exceptional attention to detail and data precision.
Good-to-Have Skills
Quantitative Modeling: Experience building systematic models, conducting factor research, and executing portfolio construction techniques (familiarity with pypfopt, cvxpy, scikit-learn, or keras is a plus).
Financial Literacy: Basic understanding of corporate financial statements, accounting, and portfolio risk analysis.
AI Application: Practical experience leveraging AI solutions in data processing, research execution, and model creation.
Education & Soft Skills
Academic Background: Degree in Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Econometrics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
Communication: Strong written and verbal English communication skills with a track record of collaborating effectively with global clients and stakeholders.
